Delayed is an environmental scenography project and immersive 360 VR experience that explores the psychological concept of place attachment and sense of place in peoples’ personal and collective narratives. People make personal and collective connections to places based on their memories, histories, and cultures. This immersive video project captures and reflects the immigrant, indigenous and settler’s intricate and meaningful relationship with new places formed by their memories intersecting with their recent experience of time and place [through a distorted element of resemblance]. The project is in the development phase, and Parjad Sharifi, the project creator, is experimenting with the immersive video platform and recording the interviews.
