AI Art Exhibition: Exploring Creativity in the Age of Artificial Intelligence

March 13 – April 4, 2024

Artist statement & introduction:

We are excited to present the exhibition “AI Art: Exploring Creativity in the Age of Artificial Intelligence”. This exhibition showcases a selection of groundbreaking and thought-provoking works of AI-inspired art from artists and creators around the Fraser Valley.

Our goal with this exhibition is to challenge traditional notions of creativity and authorship and to explore the power and potential of AI technology in the creative process. Through a diverse range of mediums, including digital art, installations, and video art, we aim to showcase the innovative and experimental ways that artists can use AI in their creative work.

We believe that this exhibition, offering a unique opportunity to witness the intersection of technology and creativity, will not only be an exciting and engaging experience for art enthusiasts and students but also a valuable opportunity to spark important discussions in our society.

The show includes works from the MEDA 110 – Digital Imaging students, Calvin Burgess, Nathan Davis, Spencer Wiebe, Finn Toews, and Marcel Casarini.
