This painting series explores themes of colonization, loss, and resilience. Paintings from the Pre-Raphaelite era that are based on literature and folklore portray women with passive gazes and sensuous figures, bringing attention solely to their youth and beauty. The female characters depicted in the photographs represent a modern woman who is devoid of the pre-set beauty standards commonly seen within paintings of this era.<\/p><p class=\"MsoNormal\" style=\"margin: 0cm;
