VanderBeek and Soomal\u00a0 discussed the works in the exhibition and Anand\u2019s larger practice, as well as issues around inclusion and representation of South Asian voices in the contemporary art world.<\/p>\n<p>Anand\u2019s practice involves playing with materials\u2014particularly textiles, language, performative gestures, and photographs\u2014to open up new trajectories for Sikh and Punjabi diasporic life.
