The University of the Fraser Valley’s School of Creative Arts (SoCA) is proud to present ART IN PRACTICE: SoCA Faculty & Staff Exhibit, a new group exhibition showcasing the dynamic work of Visual Arts faculty and staff members. Spanning diverse media and approaches, the show offers a glimpse into the creative practices that shape, inspire, and mentor the next generation of artists.
ART IN PRACTICE highlights the ongoing professional practices of the Visual Arts faculty and staff across a range of media, including painting, sculpture, photography, printmaking, and video. As artists and technicians, these individuals play a vital role in shaping UFV’s creative community, not only through teaching but through active engagement in contemporary art.
The exhibition opens on September 10 at the S’eliyemetaxwtexw Art Gallery, located on the UFV Abbotsford campus, and runs through until September 29.
An opening reception will be held on September 10 at 12:30 pm in the gallery. All are welcome to attend, and admission is free.
