The subject of religion can be a daunting and sensitive topic for conversation given its impact on history and current events taking place around the world.  There is no shortage of religious radicals who perpetuate the stereotypes of entire traditions. Built on this type of radicalism, artists and political activists comment on this perspective. As Aaron Rosen, Professor of Religious Studies, observes “blaspheming artists get all the press.”[1]  Indeed, it would seem that all one has to do is take an extremist approach to the subject in order to gain media attention.

This performance piece, however, seeks to provide a sacred space in which earnest interaction on the subject of religion can take place. Participants are encouraged to share their experience with others contributing and extending this meaningful interaction.
