About

Exhibition proposals are reviewed annually, and an annual call for submissions will be announced publicly by the end of March each year. A link to the exhibit proposal submission form will open in early April for applicants. Please note that the exhibition schedule may be booked one to two years in advance.

The School of Creative Arts remains committed to exhibition practices founded on principles of intellectual and artistic freedom, cultural sensitivity, social diversity, and collaborative relations with Indigenous peoples.  The Gallery supports and encourages student and community-centred exhibitions, teaching the complexities of showing and sharing art and visual culture.

Proposals from individuals, groups and collectives are welcome; one of the applicants must be a current student, staff or instructor at UFV. Priority consideration is given to exhibitions related to activities within and connected to the School of Creative Arts.

Currently, the gallery cannot provide insurance for works or pay the recommended CARFAC exhibition fees. The exhibitor and their team are responsible for the installation of the exhibition. Exhibitions will run between 2 to 4 weeks, and all artwork must remain on display until the closing of the exhibition.
